The term „project culture“
to us encompasses a number of aspects:
It is first of all a special way of looking at whatever it is that we see in project:
- what do the structures (formal and informal) and roles look like?
- how are things done (beyond the what is being done)?
- what do social relationships look like?
- which feelings are present? How are they dealt with?
When working on a project, we aim at creating a "project culture", at least contributing to it. This project culture is committed to the following values:
- appreciation for each and every individual
- strengthening of whatever it is that someone is good at and which is supportive
- constructive criticism and an attitude towards mistakes that makes it easy to admit to them; and which at the same time minimises the probability of committing new ones
- transparent examination and discussion
- to respect hierarchies and existent agreements
- an openness for lateral thinking and imagination
- constantly challenging own ways of thinking and working
The objective is to create a working atmosphere that allows everybody to cooperate and to work with ease and joy. On the other hand, we aim at preventing social conflicts, or to solve them in the best way possible. Therefore, much less is time is wasted on unproductive frictions, which are often disguised as factual disputes.
This results in:
- more effective work
- deadlines are met
- budgets are kept to
We strive to bring this attitude to any project we participate in, no matter whether we are working as SAP-HR-experts, or whether we have been charged with improving and supporting the existing project culture.
